I have a crush on my local starbucks barista. he's precious. He's nerdy cute and has those cute black glasses that are so popular with the kids nowadays. but he strikes me as the type that has always worn them. not just because they're cool. i learned his name today. i shall not share it here. who knows how often he googles his name in conjunction with "starbucks barista". ha. i've transcribed our encounter below because i'm GEEK and I don't want to work today...or ever.

the girl i ordered with forgot to put my cup in line so he saw me waiting and was like "angela?". so of course in my infinite suaveness, i turned in a complete circle to see who he was talking to.

K: that is sadly not my drink
Barista: (looks at cup) oh...angel-O?
Angelo banters with us about the mixup for a moment and leaves.
B: i'm so sorry, what's your name?
K: Kaitlin, what's yours?
B: *secret mystery name* what did you order? i'm so sorry, i don't know where it went.
K: that's ok, i'm totally fine not going back to work just yet. (smiles winningly)
B: (laughs charmingly) well i'm glad i could help
K: i swear i paid for it (she replied cheekily)
B: (slides a free drink voucher across the counter) next time you don't have to! (zing!, also...teehee!)
::my drink is made with astonishing speed::
K: wow, that was fast, thanks!
(B kinda chuckles)
K: wait...that wasn't sarcastic! I really meant it was fast! (she bumbles in what we hope is an endearing manner)
B: no, i know you meant it, it's just funny because you had to wait for it.
::K swoons, blushes, and leaves...in that order::
