so this morning my officemate nicole and i go to starbucks as we're wont to do. she's about 6 months pregnant and adorable because her belly is so big now and she's so tiny. as we're returning, we walk in to the lobby and i noticed that they had a line of cardboard on the floor and i was like "oh they're moving stuff in, weird". as we step on to it, nicole's shoe gets caught on the lip of the cardboard, and she stumbles. it was like watching in slow mo, and i couldn't do anything because my hands were full. she stumbled, and flew forward trying to get her footing. as she tried to regain her footing, the cardboard kept moving underneath her and she ends up lurching forward onto her knees and then twisting so she falls on her side. omg it was terrifying. all i kept thinking was NOT THE BABY!!! she ended up with a sore elbow and we don't think she really landed on her stomach, but we're not totally positive. her husband came to get her and they're going to the doctor this afternoon. i just hate that i had to watch it all happen and i couldn't do anything to stop her. i felt so retarded and helpless. i keep replaying it in my head and cringing. ack.

as a side note, i was put on hold for a few minutes and i started watching the puck clip from glee and when she came back on the line she scared the ever loving crap out of me. one second puck is saying sweet caroline and the next my headphone is going KAITLIN?. dear lord it was frightening. my heart still hasn't settled.

my nerves are taking a hit this morning.

i hope the baby is ok :(
