so last night i went out with some friends. couldn't find parking off of melrose to save my life. finally caved and went to the valet lot next to the theater. stacked parking because it was full so i left my keys with them. show got out at 10:30 and it still looks stacked to some degree so I left it alone and we went to pink's. we get back to the car at midnight and while there are still like 6 cars in the parking lot, there's nobody there. gaby already had her keys because she parked before they stacked. i did not. so we look around to see if maybe they're in the box or in my wheel well or whatever and come up with nothing. then we see the guy who parked my car walking towards us and he pretty much says. do you scare easily? i wanted to scare you for leaving your keys. i was like whaaaaaaaat? and he proceeds to tell me how the valet closes at 10:30 and i'm lucky he stayed late to do stuff and normally he'd lock my car up and blah blah blah. and i'm like dude, NOWHERE ON YOUR SIGNS DOES IT SAY THAT YOU CLOSE AT 10:30. he didn't say anything about closing at 10:30, nor does their ticket or their signs. the other valets in the area stay open until 1am, so wtf? i'm pretty sure i would've gone ballistic if they'd locked up my car with no sign or note or anything. anyway. no harm, no foul, i got my car at the end of the night and all was right in my world. i just didn't like how he was like "i wanted to scare you". ugh.

anyway. i've been on a reading binge. finally got around to reading perks of being a wallflower at the vulnerable and confused teenage year of 24. not what i expected, but i liked it a lot. super tiny too. i wish i could see what happens to the character now. kind of a big reveal towards the end and not a lot of closure for me. enough...but not as much as i'd like. also read cirque du freak since they just released the trailer and i was curious. awful. i hated the writing style and the story itself was just weird. i hope the movie is better because i really like most of those actors. i just started on the time traveler's wife. i'm on page 4. i really want to see the movie, but i've been wanting to read the book as well so i need to do that first. i think i can finish it in a week depending on my schedule. anyway. i MUST do laundry this weekend and clean my room. it's reached epic proportions. i contemplated buying underwear at target yesterday because i knew i'd have to delve into the uncomfortable portion of my underwear drawer today and i've been too lazy to do laundry this week. how shameful am i?

also saw legally blonde THE MUSICAL! on wednesday. it was really cute. i saw the broadcast version on mtv 2 years ago and thought it had catchy songs. the movie is cute and you all know the story. i enjoyed myself. it was weird though because i went with brittany and her mom and little sister and then two of her little sister's friends (all three little girls act) and their moms. so when i walked up to the theatre i saw brittany at the will call window and went and said hi to her mom. and she had no idea who i was. despite the fact that they stayed in our house for a week and a half. so that was awkward. she finally caught on when i said "i saw brittany right there and thought i'd come say hi" and she was like "oh i didn't recognize you!". ugh, so awkward. and her little sister was all "who are you?" and i'm like DUDE YOU GUYS STAYED WITH US! anyway. hanging out with them made me very glad that i didn't grow up with stage parents. a few times i went to auditions with my dad and they offered to let me read and i was too scared to do it even though i reeeeeeeally wanted to. i think it's all for the best though. because those children are not children like i was. her mom was talking about how her sister had to get up at 7 to go to a 9am audition and then they had a 12pm callback on the otherside of the city and then a coaching that afternoon and i was like wow, my summers consisted of me sleeping and swimming and reading. and it was awesome.

anyway. no plans for tonight or tomorrow. i'm kind of excited to not have to be anywhere at a specific time. huzzah!
